The garden was known as Bara-Ringtong until 1927 when it was renamed Margaret's Hope. The owner's daughter fell in love with the garden during her visit and promised to visit it again. Margaret fellill with a tropical disease and died at whilst returning home. The employees of the garden report that since then the spirit of Margaret has been seen in the garden at dawn. The garden is situated at an altitudeof 915-1830 m and mainly the valuable Chinese plants have been planted.
