Marybong was founded in 1876 by Louis Mandell under the name Kyel Tea Estate and later renamed Marybong (Mary’s house). The garden lies in the eastern Darjeeling valley at an altitudeof 880–1.800 m, with a tea cultivation area of 285 hectares which produces approximately 200.000 kg Darjeeling tea per year. Smooth, harmonious autumn tea with a wonderfully delicate taste.
