In 1842 the Chinese Emperor presented the then Prime Minister of Nepal with exquisite tea seeds as a gift, with the vision of developing Nepal into one of the best tea-producing countries in the world. The Organic Nepal Guranse Estateis probably the highest organic tea garden in the world and is situated at 1,000 to 2,190 m above sea level on the “Hile” and “Dhankuta” hills in eastern Nepal. The location of the estate offers the perfect combination of sun,shade and rain, which are essential for the production of only the finest teas. The tea leaves were picked and processed by hand. The green leaf is finely wiry and streaked with silvery leaf buds. The cup is bright yellow and exudes an intenselyfresh fragrance. The taste can best be described as full-bodied, intense and velvety.
