Invented from the plight of a tea merchant in Kyoto whose Bancha stocks threatened to spoil. The endangered stocks were roasted and one of the most popular teas of the Japanese was invented, the Hojicha.Fine wood and honey notes merge with fine roasted aromas. Can also be served ice-cold as iced tea.
